Goatskin rawhide is known for its thinness, flexibility, and surprising strength. Naturally unbleached and light grey in color. Their thinness makes them easy to cut, shape, and work with, ideal for small drum heads, rattles, lacing, repair kits, and detailed traditional crafts. Since it’s untreated, it retains its natural color and strength. Each hide is unique, with natural scars and irregular edges that add to its character.
Rawhide is untreated and hasn’t gone through tanning. Instead, it’s cleaned, de-haired, stretched, and dried, making it natural, stiff, and tough. It is then meant to be soaked and stretched over drum frames or other structures.
** All rawhides are subject to natural holes and knife marks. **
Please Note: This product is not recommended for pet chews.
